This project is both a blog and a collection within Caipora Books, dedicated to reviving lost dark folktales from around the world—stories that have faded from memory, yet still echo through time. We bring you the myths, legends, and eerie lore that history nearly erased.
But Halls in The Forest is more than just a preservation of folklore—it’s also a call to protect the very landscapes that inspired these tales. Forests, the birthplace of so many legends, are vanishing. Wildfires, deforestation, and destruction threaten not only wildlife but also the cultural myths rooted in these wild places.
